Hello friends! I’m Natalie and I’m so excited to embark on a journey with this blog! Being a woman in my forties, I am finding my life shifting into a different phase. My kids are now teenagers, my body doesn’t quite look and work like it used to, and my dreams, passions, and focus in life are changing. Translation: My kids don’t like to be around me anymore, my body makes weird cracking noises now when I roll out of bed, and I look forward to weekends now so I can sleep. 😳
But there are also so many incredibly cool things that start to happen as you get older. The best being that you realize you are more awesome than you were at 20 and all those things you worried about back then didn’t matter. Translation: You just don’t give a crap anymore!
40 is the new 40 and I’m embracing it!
Entering midlife, I can look back and recognize that all my struggles, mistakes, and experiences have shaped me into the person I am today. I really feel like the older I get, the more beautiful life becomes.
I have been a registered nurse for over 20 years and have been passionate about health and fitness all my life. I am a former Crossfit gym owner and trainer and still love the CrossFit method. I love all things outdoors, and I’m always looking for a new challenge. I love beauty and fashion, but I keep things pretty simple when it comes to my hair, makeup, and style. I have 3 amazing teenage boys and a pretty freaking awesome husband. I’m currently recovering from some health issues, which have been a real challenge for me, and I’m working on getting my fitness level and strength back (more about that to come on the blog).
I created this blog to document and share all things that I love and am passionate about in hopes to inspire others. I’m excited to share my prescriptions (Rx’s) on health, fitness, parenthood, fashion (hope you like jeans and T-shirts 😆 ), and all things that inspire happiness at every age.
Thanks for stopping in and be sure to check back often for your daily prescriptions on how to nourish your mind, body, soul, and style for mid-age or any age!
